Position Summary
Our client is a global market leader in digital consulting services for leading corporations, serving a wide range of industry verticals. Our client is seeking a growth & business design leader to drive the next major growth area and practice domain for the world’s largest and most comprehensive digital transformation partner. This role is focused on helping clients find new ways to grow, by:
- Designing the growth strategy and vision: Assessing and levering natural advantages and unique selling points, identifying new customer needs and aligning them with emerging market trends to drive revenue growth and differentiate the company from its competitors..
- Venturing & incubation: creating the right structure, capabilities, assets, team, governance models to get pilots off the ground; and position them for future scaling and growth.
- Gaining Market Traction, determine the best ways to drive continuous innovation at scale, serving existing clients and attracting new clients.
These leaders drive growth strategy and transformation from ideation to execution across industries to help C-suite clients grow – setting strategy for a vision, building the business/brand/experience path, and acting as a sherpa throughout the journey. The role requires a human-centered approach to discover and drive new ventures, propositions, and business designs for clients – in either new adjacent markets or by re-inventing their core.

Location
We are searching for multiple MD – Growth & Business Design Leaders. These positions can be located in several cities including Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, LA, NYC, SF, Seattle, or Washington DC.

Work You’ll Do
These leaders drive initiatives, transformation across industries to help C-suite clients grow – setting strategy for a vision, building the business/brand/experience path, and operating the control tower as a sherpa throughout the journey. They bring a human-centered approach to discover and drive new ventures, propositions, and business designs for clients – in either new adjacent markets or by re-inventing their core.
The candidate will lead a practice and/or a team that may:
- Design a new venture that creates new revenues for the client’s business.
- Design a new business model that enhances and extends customer experiences while creating new opportunities for revenue.
- Help clients identify and develop new growth options within existing brands.
- Design new products, services and consumer experiences that differentiate the company from its competition.
- Create compelling new value propositions for customers.
- Design organizational structures and strategic assets to help the company drive its own innovation.
- Builds diverse company cultures that embrace continuous learning and divergent thinking that challenges the status quo.
- Bring new partnerships or acquisitions that accelerates growth by supplying additional pieces of the “solution.”or reinvisions the solution in new ways.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience selling business innovation programs in a complex matrix’d consulting environment for fortune 500 clients.
- At least 10 to 15 years of leadership experience in a management consulting firm, agency, innovation strategy or industry where a substantial portion of which was spent consulting for CMO, CDO, CSO, or CEO to drive growth opportunities.
- Proven experience selling and driving transformational Experience-led initiatives across an enterprise.
- Demonstrated ability to link functional expertise with operational know-how and understanding of technology to drive leading digital solutions and positioning for clients around key platforms.
- Human-centered: Ability to translate human needs into tangible value to drive growth.
- Business Acumen: Understand business drivers relative to improving operational performance while removing cost.
- Setting strategy: Identify marketplace trends, understand the pain points of prospective clients, understand the competitive landscape and be able to conceptualize and articulate differentiated offerings leveraging the experience/expertise of the company.
- Ability to bring together and galvanize multi-functional teams to build new businesses – designers, industry strategists, venture architects, technologists, ecosystem partners.
- Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills necessary to communicate, and persuade, a wide range of audiences.
Differentiators
- The ability to quickly integrate into a fast-moving global professional services environment and be at ease building relationships with C-level client executives in the industry.
- 20+ years of total experience, and experience as a startup executive, corporate executive, with enterprise intrapreneurship, or product management.
- 5+ years building successful startup teams with successful exit(s) and the expected failures along the way.
- 5+ years of experience working in or closely with large enterprises, ideally in transformational roles.
- Experience as a venture/angel/enterprise investor a plus.
- Exposure to consulting or strategy/innovation agency experience may be a plus.
Compensation
