President, Response Marketing Services – FILLED

Position Summary
The President of Response Marketing Services (RMS) is responsible for providing strategic leadership for a $500M+ Direct Mail/Direct Marketing Services business. This includes partnering with senior leaders to establish short and long term objectives and leading a broad team across all direct mail businesses. The President will establish, implement and over-see the long-range goals, strategies, and P&L of the business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective solutions to business challenges
- Responsible for driving the Company to achieve and surpass sales and profitability goals as well as the business goals and objectives
- Develop, communicate and implement effective growth strategies and processes; organize the Business Development function
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan across all business channels
- Indirect leadership of the Operations function of the Direct Mail/Direct Marketing Services business
- Understand business initiatives driven by key stakeholders and collaborate to define strategy, tactics and overall approach
- Work with key partners to lead and influence sales objectives based on deep understanding of direct mail capabilities; establish partnerships that are critical to servicing the Clients
- Collaborate with other company businesses to develop and sell companion offerings for client direct marketing campaigns.
- Monitor marketing trends and competitor activity to recommend additional opportunities
- Develop a culture of excellence
- Responsible for business resources devoted to Marketing
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelors degree with a focus in marketing, business, strategy or communications
- Must have a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a vice president role/direct mail/direct marketing services leadership position; significant and proven leadership experience; has led a Sales organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding
- Proven experience overseeing and guiding the management of staffing, budgets and other fiscal operations impacting the P&L; financial acumen – can assess revenue and cost drivers of a business
- Achieves revenue and margin goals for area of accountability
- A proven track record of growing accounts and developing new business
- Deep knowledge of and experience in all aspects of direct mail; understands digital channels that compete and compliment the Direct Mail business
- Past experience with the strategy and execution of multi- channel direct marketing campaigns would be viewed as a differentiating qualification.
