Position Summary
Title: Managing Director – Digital Marketing as a Service (MaaS)
Location: Negotiable – New York City, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco
Travel: 50-75% (Mon – Thu)
People in our Digital Marketing as a Service do the following:
- Help companies better understand consumers and how to connect with them across markets and channels, using data and analytics
- Design and deliver highly relevant experiences for consumers in real time, using the latest technologies to increase awareness, engagement, sales and profits.
- Optimize marketing processes and integrate across the enterprise in order to maximize the opportunities of data, analytics and marketing outcomes.
- We build, deploy, maintain and scale marketing solutions that reduce complexity and cost
- Partner and team with technology solution providers and third party providers to deliver the best solution meeting the needs of our clients
- Offer our clients end to end solutions and services in Customer Data Management and Analytics, Customer Experience Management, Content Services, Digital Analytics, eCommerce, Marketing and Media Optimization, Marketing Operations, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Technology Services, Marketing Transformation and Merchandising Analytics and Optimization.
- Digital MaaS (Marketing as a Service) helps the CMO drive more effective digital marketing by using a combination of outsourced operations, advanced technologies and optimized processes.

Specific responsibilities will include:
- Working with offering lead to develop and execute a business plan to build a world class MaaS Offering for the Company in a specific expertise area.
- Working with leaders across North America to Identify, qualify, pursue and close desirable business opportunities. This will involve charting pragmatic, value-driven journeys that capitalize on the Company’s game-changing point of view and proprietary methods, analytics, and technology innovations.
- Helping to define and refine the company’s offerings in the MaaS space, ensuring that they are world-class and differentiated and address client’s needs and opportunities.
- Oversee the delivery of client engagements through hands-on leadership in projects.
- Working with other Managing Directors to fully leverage solutions, client references, and personnel across the practice and firm. This will include working closely with parts of the global business outside of marketing offerings. Participate actively in the cultivation of an effective network across the organization to help drive value for our clients.
- Lead business operations and team building initiatives while demonstrating a keen interest in promoting high-performance while inspiring a collegial team-oriented working environment.
- Travel Requirement: 50-75+%
Desired Digital Experience:
The Managing Director, Digital MaaS needs to have a broad understanding of digital marketing and technology including:
- Program management of digital marketing operations including coordination of third parties, managing timelines, P&Ls and project risks to support the digital strategy
- Designing and implementing digital operating models to help companies streamline work, share learnings and effort across local/regional teams
- Process design and definition to simplify digital marketing processes including streamlining ways of working and improving coordination across work teams
- Website design, build , maintenance and redesign
- Digital data, and analytics, to provide companies with a better understanding of their customers through segmentation, predictive modeling and offer management
- CRM, and multi-channel marketing, to design and deliver relevant digital experiences for consumers across channels
- Enterprise software implementation experience such as content management, ecommerce, eCRM, web analytics and community management
- Content management services including production and distribution to help companies design and utilize their digital assets in multiple channels across geographies
- Social media including monitoring and listening to help identify key trends and build loyalty
- SEO/SEM practices
- Web analytics and tagging
- Ecommerce platforms and performance
- Email marketing strategy and execution
Qualifications:
- 15+ year’s progressive leadership experience in roles demonstrating innovation; demonstrable success in defining and driving comprehensive programs to transform MaaS capabilities and delivering concrete business value.
- 10+ years progressive leadership experience as a line executive with direct strategic and operational responsibility for marketing to include MaaS solutions, interactive marketing and related operations and/or technologies.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales or sales related experience of outsourced marketing services.
- Experience leading client-facing projects, ideally in consulting, agency or other marketing service business-related services.
- Client relationship skills and strong business development acumen.
- Experience with developing large scale strategy for global solutions for Fortune 500 clients.
- Experience in requirements definition and implementation for large scale projects including managed services.
- Able to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and influence both CEO’s and other business leaders; ability to simply communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way
- Experience hiring, inspiring, and leading teams including offshore resources
- A commitment to building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, channels and partners
- Mature and inspirational leadership style, able to work across a heavily matrixed environment.
- A quick learner, able to grasp and apply concepts in pragmatic, value-centric way.
